Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) is an industry leader in implementing real-time technologies to transform their workflow. In this presentation, the global architecture practice will present simultaneously from New York and London to demonstrate, through case studies, how designers are using real-time applications to improve design and create better places and cities for the people who use them. The audience will learn how KPF is: utilizing real-time technology in design; creating optimization pipelines; and helping to shape the future of our industry through partnerships with leading technology developers.

Michael Koutsoubis joined KPF in 2018 as a VR specialist. After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Architecture degree, Michael founded a company that helped architects and developers communicate the designs of unbuilt spaces through real-time technology. Now he brings experience with gaming engines, HMDs, visual scripting, and UX/UI design to the KPF Digital Practice team. Michael helps implement emerging XR and real-time products on projects to assist in the design process and client presentations. His primary focus is the Changi Airport Terminal-5 project in Singapore, where he is developing an automated geometry optimization pipeline between Revit and Unreal Engine.
