Then, you will learn about a new set of features that have been developed over the last two years for “In-Camera Visual Effects”, a new form of virtual production in the Film & TV market. Finally, you will see these technologies in action through a case study of “The Mandalorian”, the latest episodic live-action show from Lucasfilm now airing on Disney+.

Entertainment at Epic Games. He is also Executive Director of the Academy Software Foundation. At Epic Games, David works to develop the use of Unreal Engine in the Media & Entertainment industries, with an emphasis on Film & Television. At the Academy Software Foundation, David works for the Premier Members to develop the use of open source software in the motion picture industry.
David is also chairman of the Joint Technology Committee on Virtual Production, and a past co-chair of the Joint Technology Subcommittee on Previsualization. He earned a B.Sc.A. in computer science from Laval University (Quebec City, Canada) and has participated in the development of virtual production and 3D software since “Jurassic Park” at companies such as Softimage, Microsoft, Avid Technology, Autodesk and now Epic Games.
